Peuplade,
the neighborhood community
Challenge
The municipality wanted to increase involvement of Paris residents within their local city life, and amongst each other. The goal was to strengthen the sense of community while encouraging citizens’ initiatives and contributions to the public place.
Solution
Paris City hall chose the Geosocial networking platform to power a multitude of micro-neighborhood communities where residents can identify neighbors, with similar affinities to socialize, exchange services, share information about common interests, and participate in local, cultural, educational, and social events. Citizens benefit from localized advertising, participate in various activist or entertainment groups, and support new residents and the elderly residents with special needs.
Results
The Paris City Hall has gone beyond providing administrative information to its residents by offering them a virtual place and social tools connected to real life events. This enables residents to drive initiatives, support one another, and reinvent an easier and richer social life.
